Philosophy

The Second Chance program is designed to instill a sense of hope and inspiration in the lives of ex-offenders who want to make a better life for themselves. This is done with the belief that a therapeutic environment and continued family support is a key element in achieving success. The philosophy of the program is to provide positive motivation and education to assist ex-offenders in achieving the goals of abstinence from illegal activities and increase functionality in the areas of their life that are relevant to their needs. The SCP program offers multiple opportunities through positive motivation and education for individuals to succeed in their goals unless outstanding circumstances dictate otherwise. Mission

The Second chance programs mission is aimed to reduce the risk of repeated actions made by ex-offenders. The SCP focus is to assist ex-offenders in rebuilding their lives by improving attitudes and connections with community resources. The program and services will stress the need for communication to ensure safety and productivity in the communities.

The SCP will consistently respond to all public requests regarding information about our services and the performance of our services, in language that is understandable and accurate. We will consistently attempt to reduce and/ or eliminate the stigma associated with ex-offenders.
